UPDATES ON FIRE SAFETY & 
RELATED INSURANCE BENEFITS

Dear Homeowners,

We are delighted to share some important updates that promise to enhance our community’s safety and potentially reduce your home insurance rates. 

Thanks to the hard work of Chief David Lind and Vernon Fire and Rescue Services (VFRS), dwellings within 8 km of Station 3, serviced with fire hydrants, now benefit from a newly improved Fire Underwriters Survey (FUS) Dwelling Protection Grade of 3A. This change of classification and upgrade signifies a fire protected grade, aligning our fire safety standards with those of other well-protected areas in the city.

The City of Vernon Fire Station #3 at Predator Ridge, has continued to build on their legacy in our community after being established in 2015. This new FUS rating is a milestone, and we are grateful to Chief Lind and his team for their continued support and investment in our community.
