Please read this before signing:

1. I understand that riding a bike in a woodland environment has a significant potential for serious injury and that it is necessary to behave responsibly and maintain control of the bike at all times.

2. To reduce the risk, I agree to follow the safety rules that I have received with this document as well as all the instructions that will be given to me by the instructors before undertaking the activity.

3. I am voluntarily participating in this activity with the knowledge of the dangers involved and I agree to accept any and all risks of loss, injury and death.

4. I understand that a helmet is provided for my safety and I agree to wear the helmet and have it fastened at all times when operating the bike.

5. If assuming responsibility for the supervision of any under 16 year olds in this agreement I declare that I am aged 21 years or older.

6. I agree that I am responsible for my own safety and that of those whom I have signed on behalf of (including any under 16 year olds). I undertake to ensure that he/she/they read, understand and will follow the instructions set out in the safety rules and verbal instructions mentioned above. If having completed my training, I am unhappy to accept this level of personal responsibility; I acknowledge that I can return to the site cabin for a full refund.

7. I declare that if I am not the child(ren)’s parent or guardian I have the authority of the parent or guardian to sign this risk acknowledgement and disclaimer.

8. I certify that to the best of my knowledge neither I, nor any of my party (including any children in my care) have a medical condition which might make me or him/her/them more likely to sustain an injury. To the best of my knowledge I and non of my party are pregnant, do not have back/neck problems or serious heart conditions.

9. I can confirm that I, nor any of my party are under the influence of drink or drugs whilst riding the bike.

10. Other than liability for negligence in respect of death or personal injury caused by The Grove or its staff, should I, or any of my party have an accident or become injured whilst undertaking any activity with this bike, The Grove or any staff member cannot be held responsible.

Once returned, bikes are checked for any faults, tagged up and recorded with the Activity department.
